Akiet manufactures a custom made project specific composite tubular products. The composite tubular manufacturing process involves the following steps:

  • Transformation of raw materials (fibers and resin) into composite tubulars and collars. The fiber materials are woven glass fibers. The resin is an epoxy (function is a matrix which holds glass fibers together when cured).
  • Transformation of blind composite products into tubulars and collars with Akiet slender design Connection Technology.

Each product is manufactured in accordance with customer specifications, including quality assessment (trial and testing program) as agreed with customer for any application.

Akiet production approach:

Akiet uses proprietary Rotary Casting Technology for producing composite tubulars and collars: It consists of the following steps

  • Fibers inserted dry in optimal directions
  • Resin injected using centrifugal force
  • Curing under centrifugal load
  • Temperature controlled curing in completely closed environment

Rotational casting process related to filament winding process increases composite capabilities specifically for deep well applications:

  • Better control on manufacturing process for better quality and higher specifications.
  • Produces pipes with industry standard constant outer diameter for easy handling and maximum drifts.
  • Constant inner diameter according load requirements for maximum drift diameter
  • Fiber can be placed in longitudinal and radial directions resulting in maximum drift diameter
  • No void spaces for higher specifications
  • Simple lining possible for extra wear resistance
